Who has seen this adorable soft crochet ‘sleepyhead’ doll around the web? For a crochet project like that, some people recommend using a thin yarn, and others just a super soft yarn that will feel good to the touch, and that is easy to work with. People have made these already – quite a lot of people – and they’ve had success using a 4mm G hook.
The free crochet pattern for this one is by Lanas Y Ovillow, and yes, it’s in Spanish, and she also has a video tutorial, yes, also in Spanish. You can see both of those here. And she used a 2.5mm crochet hook and 50gram – 125mm yarn. The total size of one of these little sleepyhead dolls is 25-26 cm.
