A flower hair clip can brighten up your look, adding a touch of softness and playfulness. And I guess that’s why kids also like to wear them so much! When making this free crochet hair clip pattern, keep in mind, though, that for small children a pearl bead can be a choking hazard, so it’s often better to leave that off for hair clips they’re going to wear.
This pattern, by Stephanie at Yarn and Grace, uses chains, single crochet, slip stitch, and double crochet. How the flowers are made is basically you start in the center, creating a lacy coil, and loop around and around, so that it sort of resembles a rotisserie-peeled vegetable. Then the coils are pinned together with the cloth or pearl bead center.
