With this crochet frog, you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump away from holding a cute softie in your hands!
This frog crochet project was made by Kristi Tullus, and she recommends using sport weight cotton yarn and a 1B crochet hook (2mm) to make it. Of course, you also need some eyes to sew on, or you can just embroider on your own colored eyes right onto the fabric if you don’t have google eyes to use! And you need some wire if you’re going to make it the way she did, because the arms and legs have wire to give them retainable stiffness. For the wire, you’ll also want some needlenose plyers or wirecutters, just to cut your wire to the right lengths.
The total size of this crochet frog will be 14 cm (or 5 1/2 inches) long, that’s including the legs.
The skills required to make this crochet frog aren’t expert level by any means, so even novice crocheters can get out some yarn and try it out. You will need to be able to do crocheting in a spiral, increasing and decreasing crochet, and single stitch, though.
