Halloween or not, pumpkins are delicious, but they’re more than that: they’re also a super attractive, durable food object. So is it any wonder we like jewelry that looks like pumpkins? Recently we stumbled across these tiny beaded pumpkins, which can be made into earrings or beads for bracelets or a pendant or even just sit alone as decorations, by Jean Cox of Interweave, those crafting powerhouses.
The method she uses here is to use a small rondelle (she usesĀ 8-10mm wide holed ones) and seed beads (she uses 11s for the orange, 8s for the green), and then pass the needle through the center and wrap it around the rondelle, adding beads for each pass, then coming up through the center and adding beads for the stems. Cute, quick, easy idea. For Jean Cox’s tutorial, click here. For more beading, click here.
